TC Calculator — Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-06-18

TC Calculator ("the app," "we," "us") is an iPhone app that adds, subtracts, and converts SMPTE timecode for video and film work. We designed TC Calculator to work entirely on your device. This policy explains, in plain language, what the app does and does not do with your information.

The short version

We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal information. TC Calculator has no servers, no account system, and no analytics or advertising. Everything you enter stays on your iPhone.

Information we collect

None. TC Calculator does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email, phone number, or location. We do not operate any server that receives your data, and the app contains no analytics, tracking, or advertising software.

Information stored on your device

To do its job, the app stores the following locally on your device:

  • Your calculation history (the timecodes and results you confirm).

  • Your settings (such as frame rate and drop-frame selection).

This information is saved in your device's local app storage so the app can show your history and preferences. It is not transmitted to us or to anyone else.

How we share information

We do not share your information, because we do not collect it. TC Calculator contains no third-party SDKs that receive your data.

Children's privacy

TC Calculator is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.

Data retention and deletion

Because your data is stored only on your device, you remain in control of it. Clearing the in-app history or deleting TC Calculator from your iPhone removes the app's locally stored data.

International users

TC Calculator processes everything locally on your device and does not transfer your data across borders, because no data leaves your device.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the "Effective date" above and publish the new version at the same location. Material changes will also be reflected in the app's Legal section.
